About transzorg.nl

Information about trans care is scattered, quickly outdated and often only in Dutch. transzorg.nl brings it together: current, with sources and a date on every page, in Dutch and English.

• Every page has sources, a "last checked" date and a date for the next check.
• We use official sources: Zorginstituut, the quality standard, hospitals, insurers, government and community organisations.
• We write everything in our own words and always say where a fact comes from. When we use information from another organisation, that organisation is listed in the sources.
• Where something is uncertain, we say so.
• The editors are volunteers, not doctors. AI helps with writing and translating; a person checks everything against the sources.
• Pages with medical explanations have not yet been reviewed by a healthcare professional. This is stated at the top of those pages. Once a page is reviewed, you will see by whom (their role) and when.
• The drawings are our own line drawings and symbols: adult, diverse and never explicit.
• Spotted a mistake? At the bottom of every page there is "Something wrong?". You stay anonymous.

Are you a speech therapist, nurse, doctor or surgeon in trans care, or a health lawyer? Or have you had a treatment or surgery yourself? Help us check the information. It takes a few hours a year. We list your role on the page, and your name only if you want.

These organisations have done important work for years. We gladly refer to them and credit them when we use their information. They are not partners of transzorg.nl and have not reviewed this site.

The "Quick exit" button at the top (or pressing Shift three times) takes you straight to a neutral website. This site uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Reports sent via "Something wrong?" are stored without name, email or IP address, for at most a year. Clear your browser history if you do not want anyone to see you were here.
